Experience a new perspective on art through these presentations and conversation series by Phoenix Art Museum Docents.
The Renaissance period (14th - 17th centuries) transitioned from the Middle Ages to the Modern Era with a renewed interest in ancient Greek and Roman humanism, innovative arts, architecture, literature, natural sciences and beyond. The Italian city states of Florence and Rome were at the center of this movement. Three towering figures - Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael - graced the zenith of Italian High Renaissance (early 1490s - 1520). Join Jeanne as she takes us back to the time of these artists and their influences on art.
Presented by Master Docent Jeanne Sours.
