Experience a new perspective on art through these presentations and conversation series by Phoenix Art Museum Docents.
Expeditions and railroads created a desire to see the western landscape. A curiosity about Native Americans also inspired artists to travel West. Joseph Henry Sharp, an artist from Cincinnati, Ohio, was lured by beauty of the landscape and the Plains Indians and later the Taos Pueblo. We will look at his life story and his fascinating art which captures the people and landscape of the plains and later Taos Pueblo.
Presented by Docent Edie Taylor.
