McDowell Sonoran Conservancy
Have you ever been startled by an animal on the trail or around your house and wondered why you didn’t see it at all until perhaps it moved? (I’ve actually stepped right over a coiled rattler in the early morning, not noticing it until someone behind me pointed out what I had done!) We’ll explore animal camouflage – what it is, how it’s used, and why it’s effective – using actual examples including some from the Sonoran Desert. Come and test your ability to spot hidden animals.
