Join us each month for a lively conversation centered on titles selected by staff within a variety of genres.
In this group we will discuss The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams.
Set in the early twentieth century during the height of the women's suffrage movement, an ambitious woman realizes the words and meanings related to women's and common folks' experiences often go unrecorded. And so she begins to search out words for her own dictionary: the Dictionary of Lost Words. To do so she must leave the sheltered world of the university and venture out to meet people whose vocabulary will fill those pages.
This book club meets the second Tuesday of every month.
