Beyond the Birding Basics: Bird ID Skills
Thursday, May 11
4:00pm - 5:00pm
Civic Center Library
Classroom @ the LoftThis class introduces the additional characteristics that experienced birders use to identify birds, such as behaviors, calls, structure, and location.
We first learn to identify birds using their colors and patterns, but many times this isn’t enough to distinguish between similar looking species. This class introduces the additional characteristics that experienced birders use to identify birds, such as behaviors, calls, structure, and location. Putting all of these pieces together can help you sort out some of the confusing species and figure out the ID more quickly and confidently. This is a 3-part class taught by local instructor Cindy Marple. Registration encouraged but not required.
