Beginning in October 2022, there will be a special library cache hidden in one of the Scottsdale Public Libraries. Using the Geocaching website or app, you will be able to solve your way to the cache!
The “World’s largest treasure hunt” is coming to Scottsdale Public Library this October!
Here are some important things to know:
Patrons interested in hunting for the library geocache must create a free account on Geocaching.com.
You must use your own GPS enabled device to navigate to the locations provided on Geocaching.com and deciphered using the clues.
This is a passive program. Library staff are unable to assist with GPS devices, geocache clues, or locating the geocache.
If you would like more information on Geocaching, check out the titles Scottsdale Public Library has available: The Geocaching Handbook by Layne Scott Cameron
The Joy of Geocaching by Paul Gillin
The "Arabian Days" geocache will be available sometime in October. We will update the online calendar once it goes live.
