Join us for a fascinating lecture on Bob Dylan's extraordinary artistic achievements as a songwriter, poet and cultural icon of the 20th century.
We will journey with Bob Dylan from childhood to his folk days in Greenwich Village to his ground breaking "electric period" studio albums to becoming the rock/poet enigma of his time. Highlights from his post sixties work will be briefly explored. We will discuss his extraordinary artistic achievements as a songwriter, poet and cultural icon of the 20th century. Speaker Vincent Bruno is a rock historian with a focus on The Beatles and the Sixties. Mr. Bruno has recently retired as Director of First Year Programs at LaGuardia Community College (City University of New York) a position he has held since 1990. He holds an MPA from Baruch College and as an Adjunct Professor for the past twenty-five years has taught courses in numerous disciplines including Humanities, Management and Cooperative Education. As a Beatles scholar and storyteller he looks to both embrace not just their legacy but to present an entertaining, interactive and informative session for both the casual listener as well as the hard core Beatles fan. He currently resides in Sun City.
