Photography by kids 10-14 on display in the main reading room.
Kids in Focus is a non-profit organization that benefits children ages 10-14 that are at risk and come from backgrounds of poverty, homelessness, neglect or abuse. They are given a camera and are mentored by professional photographers. Together they take a journey of creativity culminating in a public photography exhibit, a hardbound book, and a new self-confidence for the future. The program empowers the kids to explore, to trust and to see the world in a new light. Come see their exhibit in the main reading room at the Civic Center Library. It will remain up until the end of May.
