Join Donald Hadder, a former planner for the City of Scottsdale who served over 38 years, for a talk about Scottsdale’s long and complicated history of general planning. This talk will cover nine major phases of planning over a period of 65 years during a period where the city grew from around ten square miles to over 184 square miles. This will feature several major programs of citizen involvement, a “secret” plan, and a special emphasis on desert preservation.
