Join Don Meserve, past City Archaeologist, for a talk on the broad variety of petroglyphs in the McDowell Mountains in Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Hear how this ARAC inventory project came about and how the images were created thousands of years ago through the Hohokam period, roughly a thousand years ago. The talk includes theories on why these images were made, what they may depict and the ongoing city efforts to protect these resources.
Capacity is limited, first come first serve. No registration or sign up required.
