Presented by community historian Joan Fudala.
Enjoy a photo-rich presentation highlighting the artists, crafts people, fashion designers and entrepreneurs who turned farm town Scottsdale into a world renowned art and cultural center, beginning in 1946. Savor the creative endeavors of artisans Lloyd Kiva New, Lew Davis, Mathilde Schafer Davis, Sandy Sanderson, Wes Segner, George “Doc” Cavalliere and others, gathered together by arts patron/business leader Tom Darlington. Within a decade, Old Town Scottsdale became the arts and crafts center of the Southwest, building on that image in the decades since.
